17.15 Grid Security

17.15.1 Secret Key Based Server Authentication

Secret key based security is enabled via the moab-private.cfg file.

17.5.2 Globus Credential Based Server Authentication

Globus credential based server security is only available in Moab 4.5 and higher.

17.15.3 X.509 Based Server Authentication

X.509 based server security is available in Moab 4.5 and later.

17.15.4 Using X.509 (Non-Globus) Based Authentication

When using X.509 based job authentication, no user or admin intervention is required on a per job basis. Each peer Moab server must be configured with a host certificate and the moab-private.cfg file must contain entries setting the AUTHTYPE attribute of the CLIENTCFG parameter to X.509.
