I would agree on the cpu time, but also, how many processors are there
per node? When you say nodes=8, you get 8 nodes, not necessarily 8
cpus. Try doing this:
#PBS -l nodes=8:ppn=1,walltime=00:08:00
That way there is a specified number of CPUs (8 nodes x 1ppn).
Sometimes Maui and Torque have trouble "guessing".
