I think that the MAXNODE implementation is broken.

It does not work for me either and I have reported this
to the bugzilla of CRI (http://clusterresources.com/bugzilla)
as bug number 141.

(Douglas Wightman, I would very much like to have this fixed and do
not yet know enough of Maui to create a patch myself, please.)
